👍👍This is the story that got me hooked on Tracy Cooper-Posey's world of time travelling vampires and introduced me to menage romance. I was first drawn to it through its Scottish setting, then to Tally, Rob and Lee and their heartbreaking love story. The impossibility of the logistics for them remaining together in 14th century Scotland was so poignant. And the imaginative final twist as they make the decisions necessary to fight for Tally's life was so unusual that this story has stayed in my mind over the years as an excellent example of a complex and standout plot. It's also got a lot of MF, MM and MMF 🔥heat!There are quite a few characters to keep straight in the 23rd century part of the story and I now realize that this is an introduction to them that will be followed up with more stories that focus on their romances. Here, it adds tangential plot that helps distract from the mystery of Charbonneau, a vampire who simply appears without warning at the Chronometric Conservation Agency Sydney headquarters volunteering his services, until his surprise revelation in the climax.
I read so many books that, even with the good ones, it's often hard for me to recall what drew me to an author or a particular work. Bannockburn Binding is a notable exception.

4 ½ stars. I normally don't read this genre (paranormal) of books; however, the book synopsis was intriguing so I'd thought I would try it. I was really lost in the beginning but I stuck with it. I throughly enjoyed the book. When a book can make me feel emotions for the characters, I know it is well written. Great job Tracy! I am looking forward to reading the second book in this series.
I wanted to like it! I really, truly did. However, the 3 different story lines were just too much. I love the parts with Rob, Lee, and Tally, but the rest seemed a little irrelevant. Yeah, they do tie in together, but it still comes across as 2/3 totally different stories and it's hard to follow at times.
To be fair, I didn't complete the book. It might all pull together at the end and make perfect sense, I just didn't think it was necessary. I wish the entire book were about Lee/Christian, Tally and Rob. I would have finished it and rated much higher if it had been.

When Tally takes a client back to 1314, she is taken hostage by Robert MacKenzie for ransom. Rob and Tally soon realize that the growing bond between is more than just sexual. Christian, Tally's ex-lover time jumps to bring her home and finds himself as drawn to Rob as much as he is to Tally, but they can't stay in the past or risk certain death.
This book is an entertaining and unique tale with an interesting concept of time travel with intriguing twists and turns. The author switches time periods smoothly throughout the story with great detail without overwhelming or confusing the reader. The settings are vividly painted drawing the reader into the story and making them feel like they are part of the adventure.
The chemistry between the three characters is scorching hot and the author arouses the imagination with explicit sex scenes, sexual language and menage and some anal sex. The reader can easily relate to the compelling characters and their emotions in this captivating read.
When it comes to time travel books I am a picky reader and I found this book to be a well written and engaging read with a smooth flowing plot, full of suspense, drama and two sexy alpha males that keeps the reader engaged and wanting more. The world created by the author is creative and fun with lots of potential and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this great series.
I was totally surprised that this was a very good story. Tally (Natalia) Marta has lived many centuries as a vampire and now takes time traveling clients back to earlier times in history and as part of her job as a guide, she also gets to feel the effects of becoming human for these visits. She and her client are caught by a Scottish warrior, Robert MacKenzie when they arrive in the 1300's. Robert takes them prisoner and into his camp sourrounding Sterling Castle which is under siege by his cousin and King Robert the Bruce. As the days/weeks pass Tally and Rob grow close and Tally finds she loves the fierce Scottish warrior, but her time is running out, as the effects without proper feeding take their toll on her body. Christian Lee another time traveler guide and also a past lover of Tally's is sent to find out what has happened to her and the client. The story continues with some unexpected life altering events for all three of them.
Wow, was this a great book! Tally Marta is a vampire who works for an agency that takes clients back in time to be observers of actual history. While in Scotland in the year 1314, she and her client are captured and held for ransom by Robert MacKenzie, part of clan Bruce. Tally can't tell Rob that she is a time traveler and that no one will be coming to pay the ransom, so she remains his prisoner. The longer they are together, the more they are drawn to each other. A major complication is that, while time traveling, vampires revert back to human. Tally loves the return of emotions and physical feeling, but each day she is there she is dying. If she doesn't get back to her time, she won't survive.
Eventually Lee, Tally's former lover from the future, finds her in Scotland. By that time it turns out there is a really good reason she can't return, but I won't spoil it here. Suffice it to say the story unfolds in a really wonderful way. The ending was a stunner to me -- I never saw it coming. That was the icing on the cake for this really enjoyable read. There are some definitely steamy scenes, which are actually pretty integral to the story. I highly recommend this one.
